All the world is watching today. He IS the man for the times and with the collective good will he has generated we hope to see better times for our neighbours and our world.
You'll have to let us know what your Washington friends are doing today, Imagine Canada celebrating, they must be having a blast.
Everyone was watching history in the making today. There is very high expectations for the new president and hopefully he is given the time needed to make some of the changes everyone is looking for.
This was an incredible day _ one that will always be remembered. He brings the hope of a much better future for his own country and for the world.
I celebrated the Obama event by making myself Dessert in a Mug. What a treat, used cocoa and replaced spray with real butter for the inside of the mug! Thanks for that.
In DC the city's heartbeat as palpable. I have never witnessed such excitement. I stepped out on my porch to pick up the Post and simply could not help it. I HAD to shout..TODAY IS THE DAY....IT'S ALMOST OVER!!! People opened doors and yelled YESSSS! Our house was full all day. And now, after all the events, all the moving about...NOT ONE ARREST all day with 1.8 + million people (those that made to to the mall....not all those standing around or packed into buildings all around the city.) I will not be able to put words to my feelings for days. My relief is enormous and my pride is great. There is no way to compare the two presidents we had yesterday, pre and post 12 noon. Obama is clear and open--brilliant and dedicated. Bush left the mess best described as "Clean UP ON AISLE 5"
