Having a Swedish afternoon

When it gets unbearably hot I often think of Carl Larsson and how he and his family is pictured near the lake in Sweden having a picnic. In the "olden days" at our cottage, it was customary to pull out the white enameled bathtub and babies were as happy as larks. It was one of those days in Belgium just last week.

  1. I wish I could have been in that tub with her! I think she was the only one of us who could truly appreciate the warm weather without being terribly hot!

  2. "I'm gonna give you a hairnet"? Is that what you said?

That's so funny! It's a "hairy neck" You just kiss that sweetest part of the neck and it tickles so that you can't STAND the next one....just a little trick that my Dad, who had a fabulous moustache, and The Professor, similarly used to do to our kids. I tried this one on Zoë, "sans moustache bien sure", but the results were adorable. Those audible laughs were so cute!

  4. We're enjoying the many faces of Zoë and the adoring faces of all the family who surround her with such love.

  6. Wonderful pictures. I just spent the day with Bryan (8 months now) and it is amazing what cute pictures you can get when the subject is so young and of course so cute. Enjoy your visit.

  9. Ma Soeur,
What a wonderful age, and Zoë looked as cool as a cucumber. She is certainly not wanting for attention when her grandparents are close at hand.
