On the way to Broadway

Last week, Helen and I went to see "Priscilla Queen of the Desert", at the Princess of Wales theater in Toronto. The musical adapted from the movie. Prior to the performance, we treated ourselves to a delicious dinner at "Aroma", an Indian food restaurant. We suggest the butter chicken, lamb biryani, aloo gobi and naan bread. A cosmopolitan to start is also highly recommended :)

The music is delightful, the sets and costumes over the top, and the energy electrifying. The story is one of a search for acceptance and love. What could be nicer? THE MUSIC!!!

It's on it's way to Broadway, as do so many shows that pass through the Big Smoke. If you get a chance to see this one, do so.

  1. i got a "sneak peak" back in may at the press release!!!
loved the movie and can't wait to see this show!

  2. The dinner AND the theatre both sound fabulous. I too loved the movie!

  3. This sounds, looks and tastes like a lot of fun. (My last outing consisted of poached eggs and the opera Death in Venice).

  4. Hello, cupcake! Glad to hear that the musical turned out so well - the movie was so wild, I wondered how they could work the bus into a stage show. Looks like they did...never underestimate the power of an Australian drag queen, I guess.
