One of my favourite sights

This is one of my favourite spring sights. Over the fence in the neighbour's yard, the blooming Quince. I've never seen another one of this very colour. It is truly magnificent in all it's prickly-ness. The shrub started from a cutting and is over 30 years old.

This is always the first sign of spring for me. We live in hope!:)

  1. So pretty! Gee, doesn't this grow over your garden fence, or something? Might it not enjoy a light pruning, so as to allow you to enjoy some...indoors?

  2. We are in need of some new shrubs this year. This one looks like an excellent possibility. What size is it now? The question is, do I have enough time to truly enjoy it? If it takes 30 years, I am out of the running.
