Seal Lullaby by Rudyard Kipling

Oh! Hush thee, my baby, the night is behind us,
And black are the waters that sparkled so green.
The moon, o’er the combers, looks downward to find us,
At rest in the hollows that rustle between.

Where billow meets billow, then soft be thy pillow,
Oh weary wee flipperling, curl at thy ease!
The storm shall not wake thee, nor shark overtake thee,
Asleep in the arms of the slow swinging seas.

  1. Ok I've listened to this twice already and am about to put it on repeat. I'll never work today but will have the sweet thoughts of baby seals.

  2. How beautiful! What a lovely way to start the day. And in keeping with feeling peaceful, I shall move on to the garden, music in my head.

  3. This song is absolutely beautiful and you are so right. It would be a perfect fit for Tempus Choral to sing. I'm going to suggest it.
