Mr. Selfridge

Now I know where "Becky" from Corry Street went!

Produced by ITV Studios for ITV1 and PBS, Mr. Selfridge debuted in the UK in January and will air in the U.S. on March 31.

"Those still reeling in drop-waisted despair from Downton Abbey’s finale might find solace in another British petticoat drama, invading the colonies this Sunday. “Mr. Selfridge,” a 10-part series produced by ITV Studios for ITV1 and PBS, is the biggest series created by the studio. If the show’s popularity in the UK (where it attracted an average of 8.5 million viewers per episode) is any indication, PBS might have another crinoline-clad hit on its hands."

Chocolate Alert

I've just discovered that I can watch Netflix movies on my iPad. This is because once again, I have signed on for the free month of Netflix. Everyone was urging us to watch "House of Cards" and this was the only way to access it. While The Professor was away, I watched more subtitled films and really love the small format - for a little bit.

This was such a fun film, but I will throw out a caution. You should have a least one bar of chocolate handy prior to starting the movie. No kidding.

On my window sill today

It took a year of patience for everyone to feel at home enough to put on their finery. At last, the girls are excited about the prom tonight and have put on their best dresses. All frills and exquisite sparkles.

 Worth the wait for sure!

Click on the picture to see her spectacular sparkle! She'll dance all the dances

Please Please Please

In case you are wondering where all these little squeaky toys come from....they are in Myles' kit bag. His family supply us with food, grooming supplies, poop bags, walking gear and a weeks worth of squeaky toys. Considering that it takes him only minutes to totally destroy these little guys, I ration them. He knows where the bag is and he is constantly testing my resolve.

Okay then. I'm not coming in and you'll have to come out in the snow and get me unless I get the yellow duck!

Whales and Tails

Whale watching. The Kona coast

SPOUT!! 3 o'clock

Looks like there are quite a few...there---two of them!

We could be here a while, might as well get comfortable

Meanwhile, in another area of the rocky coast, another crew are vying for attention. Can you spot little lava kitty??

There had to be a woman involved in all this yowling

Not sure why grooming has to be a part of this episode, but cats just do that!

Oh! WOW! Someone has spotted us...Showtime!

I'll just do a little move here, see if there is applause

What ingrates! Not one round of applause for the cats. They are ALL looking out to sea. I mean, if you've seen one whale you've seen em' all. Let's get out of here Lava boy!

Cavorting for the crowd?

I mean enough is enough isn't it!!! Is this whale giving us the flipper????

All's Whale that ends Whale :)

The blurry Hula

Mark had done research as to wining and dining around the Big Island. We had heard many recommendations for The Bamboo restaurant. The perfect ending to our day along the coast.

The kitschy food cupboard

The famous Bamboo Mai Tai....LOTS' a rum....

The entertainment starts...the HULA!

A few more Mai Tai...a bit more blur. To be fair, this is all with the iPhone camera+ That's my story, not sure about the other two :)

A bit of restorative dessert. Creme brulee a la Hawaii

Aloha and Mahalo beautiful woman
