Lately I've been into bacon

Bacon is a bit like buttermilk. You may only want a little bit, but you always have to buy the whole pound to get a good deal. I have therefore been eating bacon with everything. I'm still working on the buttermilk too!

I first saw this on Dana's Facebook page, and given my recent proclivity for bacon, it made me laugh out loud. This is apparently the original "tweet".

  1. Try marinating some chicken in your Buttermilk...
It makes it unbelievably tender, thick and juicy..
Trust me...have I ever lied to you?
I have also used it on fish fillets...same deal!

    1. Sounds perfect. I'll try this. Did you know I found out you can freeze buttermilk?

  2. Grilled cheese and bacon sandwiches! I love those. Buttermilk is terrific too. Here are a couple of recipes, both big favourites. http://www.food.com/recipe/the-best-blueberry-buttermilk-pancakes-92466 http://www.food.com/recipe/deep-dark-chocolate-cake-12488

  3. What good ideas! Plus, when you are tired of staring at it in the fridge, you can always just bake whatever's left over in the oven, and freeze it in little bags, to have bacon crumbles, etc. whenever you like. You probably do that, however!
