Oh the possibilities

This is the last week of life as we know it. Probably forever.

The "Kids" are moving back permanently from the US, The Professor is practicing retirement in increments and there are only three days left on the calendar in which to prepare for the onslaught.

One of the most useful ideas I got from a friend who should have a blog, but doesn't, is the space saving device known as "Ziploc Space Bag". My word. I have duvets that have had the living daylights sucked out of them by the old vacuum cleaner and can now stand at attention in the linen closet. Decorative pillows, winter/summer bedding......"I'm tellin' ya!" this is the way to go.

The other handy dandy item that you may have overlooked but should not is the fashionable, folding shopping/cooler/picnic basket....otherwise known as the "portable office"....that's coming.

This little hummer, which you can find in various iterations all over the place now comes either foil insulated or not, perfect for grocery, beach or travel. It folds flat for storage and is just such a fashionable little piece, it will make you want to find a blanket and go on a picnic!

If you are not inclined to use things in the conventional way, you can turn one of these handy dandy carriers into what is affectionately known as the "portable office". A clever idea for people who live in "mansions" (a term coined by my five year old granddaughter ~ denoting any home that has stairs) and need to transport their media sources from one floor to another. Read: He's watching the golf channel and you want to repair to your bedroom, a.k.a. the other t.v. and a bit of a respite. Load in your phone, iPad, reading glasses, pens, pads of paper, magazines, whatever your needs are ~ and herein lies the possibility of a Diet Coke and a snack. Take off up the wooden hill and Bob's your uncle!

Hat Tip:BAP the anonymous blogger :)

  1. Ziploc bags are "sucked" and stacked, the office is packed and we're off to the cottage, still have room for the golf clubs. Thanks for the shout out. I don't need a blog, I have you.
